Low maintenance planters, benches and tables for office roof garden in London
Street Design manufactured and supplied the roof garden planters, benches and tables for the roof gardens, for a new office development in London. As part of the scheme, three roof garden spaces were designed to create outdoor terraces with seats and tables, to allow the staff the opportunity to have a break outdoors, without the need to leave the building. Diplomat planters were specified and were manufactured in FSC treated softwood. They were supplied in a treated finish only, without a stain. This helps reduce the on-going maintenance costs and allows the planters to weather naturally, eventually turning a silver grey colour. The planters were manufactured in small, flat sections, taken up onto the roof terraces and assembled on site. The area also included co-ordinated benches and picnic tables. The design was completed with a contemporary planting scheme that involved slate chippings and grasses.
